Art Show In Progress

On Saturday, August 22, we exhibited 60 pieces of art at the E.P. Foster Library in Ventura.  The art work was created by the people at the homeless shelters we have visited.  In addition, we screened the documentary film of our tour.

The event was simply amazing. A small but enthusiastic crowd attended and everyone enjoyed the art work and the film. I talked about the status and my vision for the Project and about human connection, consciousness and the role that homeless people play in the transition of humanity to the new paradigm, a new world based on the inherent value of human beings. After the presentation,  I answered questions from the audience and participated in the group discussion which ensued.

Laura Ynez, a formerly homeless woman from Oxnard, exhibited her art work for the first time and shared her story during the film discussion.

Crowd Surrounds Laura & Her Work

Her words and her work inspired everyone.  We are looking forward to helping Laura promote her work and life story. I believe she has much to contribute to our understanding of homeless people and how life is for them.

We also raffled off several great prizes including toys, gift certificates to local merchants, a membership in Ventura Values, a discount program involving more than 60 local businesses, and a beautiful book of art photographs. Here we see the amazing Giovanni (Laura’s son) pulling a winning ticket.
