We are getting ready for the World Homeless Day Tour 2010. It is coming up fast and there is SO MUCH to do.
Shelters are lining up from Seattle to San Francisco and are excited about our visit. We are busy looking for sponsors for the tour who can provide art supplies, food, gas and of course, money.
Ventura County Fair
We will be at the Ventura County Fair from August 4 to 15 at our table just inside the main gates. Last year, we raised more than $1,000 and are hoping to top that this year. We are looking for volunteers to help staff our table. We will be there from 11AM – 7PM Monday – Thursday and 10AM – 8PM Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Public Service Announcement
We are working on a Public Service Announcement with Andrea Adelman, a brilliant documentary film student from Brooks Institute. We have been interviewing people on the streets of Skid Row and Santa Barbara and met some amazing people. 
Yesterday, we met a courageous couple, Heather and Marcus who despite a terminal illness, continue to write music and share their love with everyone they meet. We plan to return to record their music and more interviews. However, we need to find a guitar for Marcus, he hasn’t had one for months. Anybody have a decent guitar he can have?

World Homeless Day Tour 2010
We are working with the shelters to arrange the details of our visit and everyone is excited about our visit. We are also working with friends and supporters who are helping us find places to park our RV, hold events and simply enjoy the trip.
There are many avenues for you to support us on the tour. We are looking for an Audio/Video person and an Art Teacher/Therapist to accompany us on the tour. In each city (Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, San Francisco and Santa Barbara), we need people to assist with the art workshops and recording sessions at the shelters and people to plan and assist at our art show events.
We also need money to pay the tour expenses, which we estimate will be about $5,000, most of which is for food and gas for the RV. There are many ways you can contribute, some of which cost you nothing. Pick the ones that works best for you:

Free, No Cost Donations
- Yahoo search tool, pays us for each search you do. If enough people use this, it could totally fund the tour.
- Enter “Hearts Of Fire Project” when you sign up at eScrip. Participating merchants like Von’s and Safeway pay us for your normal purchases.
